The Rising Stars is a county-wide project for members age 11-14 (or grades 6-9). Members design and execute an outreach or civic engagement project that benefits Alameda County 4-H or the larger community. They learn teamwork, leadership, public speaking and citizenship. In 2018-19, the Rising Stars planned an event called AMP Field Day. Event attendees participated in art, music and photography workshops, displays, competitions and performances. There was also a collection drive during the event for art supplies for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
